Her reading record and my field notes stay separate
I write this site in the first-person husband voice. My wife's factual reading record is the anchor: her reading status and any comments she chose to share stay hers. I do not fill in a rating, reaction, mood, pace, trope, or opinion for her.
My field notes follow public reader conversations in romance, romantasy, and nearby genres. I use those conversations to see what keeps coming up, then summarize the useful distinctions in my own words. Publisher and author sources are used separately for book and edition facts.
Retailer links
The shopping layer follows the book
Bookshop.org links are added only after I can identify the relevant physical edition. Ambiguous, changing, future, or otherwise unresolved editions stay unlinked until they can be checked.
I may earn a commission if you buy through these Bookshop.org links.
Corrections
Send the page and the fact
If a title, author, edition, status, source, or other factual detail looks wrong, email theothernightstand@gmail.com with the page and the specific correction. You can also use the contact form.

What the contact form keeps
The form takes a name, an email, and a message so I can answer. That is all I keep.
No account. No comments. I do not sell addresses.
If you want a message gone, write theothernightstand@gmail.com and I will delete it.
X and Bookshop.org run on their own rules.
